Monday, September 18th was National Cheeseburger Day. This day is used to celebrate the creation of the bun, patty, and cheese combo we all know and love. There is a lot of speculation about where and when this famed twist on a hamburger came about. Many restaurants have tried to take the spotlight, such as O’Dell’s in Los Angeles, Kaelin’s Restaurant in Kentucky, and Humpty Dumpty Drive-in in Denver. No matter where the burger started, where it ends up today is what really matters. To celebrate the creation, major fast food restaurants all over the world have decided to participate in the holiday by putting extremely good deals on their cheeseburgers. Some of the major restaurants participating that have great deals are:
Burger King: free cheeseburger with a $1 purchase
McDonalds: $0.50 double cheeseburger
Wendy’s: $0.01 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger
Carl’s Jr: 50% off double cheeseburgers
SmashBurger: $5 Classic Singles
White Castle: Buy One Get One Sliders
