On Wednesday, February 28, several 8th-grade classes from the surrounding middle schools visited Mark Keppel High School to get a grasp of the environment they might be entering as they enter high school next school year. Keppel’s students came out during their 4th period to represent their individual clubs and teams and persuade the incoming high schoolers to join. Among the clubs and teams were Cheer, Football, Speech & Debate, Newspaper, Speak Now All Poets (SNAP), and more.

Audrey Segura is a senior at Mark Keppel High School and is the Editor-in-Chief of The Aztec News. She is the publicity chair of Link Crew and she's also a part of the Vocal Ensemble at Keppel. She regularly hangs out with her friends and goes on long drives. Some of her other pastimes are listening to music, playing the guitar, and singing. Pierce Del Rio, Digital Media Coordinator
Pierce Del Rio is currently a Senior at Mark Keppel High School and this is his second year participating in the Aztec News. Pierce is excited in pursuing a future in investment banking as well as finance and wants to attend a four year university program in hopes of earning a bachelor's degree. Additionally, he holds the position of Fundraising Coordinator in ASB and Treasurer in STEMsters, Gardening, MESA, PLUS, and Soccer. In his free time Pierce likes to play brawl stars with Jordan Trang, eat chipotle burritos with extra sour cream, frolic in the melancholic solitude of his backyard, and build legos with his girlfriend. His favorite shows are Regular Show and Adventure Time but he's open to watching whatever's on.
