Crumbl Cookie has gained lots of traction especially amongst high school students with its unique and constant rotating menu, social media popularity, and aesthetics. Crumbl rotates its cookie flavors weekly, encouraging people to go get these limited time cookie flavors. From over 200 delicious flavors to choose from, somehow people are able to decide which flavors they will be taking home to enjoy. Is it as good as it seems? There are many mixed reviews.
In an interview with junior Janelle Fernandez, she stated that she has tried Crumbl Cookie about 3 times. She doesn’t like the taste of the cookies. “They taste too sweet and [are] like cardboard,” she added. In each Crumbl cookie there are about 720 calories. One crumbl cookie has more calories than a Big Mac from McDonald’s. Despite them changing weekly, they are still about 700 to 800 calories. Crumbl’s cookies also are pretty big, and range from 4 ½ to 5 inches in diameter.
Ms. Emma is one of the chemistry and environmental science teachers at Keppel. In her classes, she hasn’t heard any students talking about Crumbl. She said that it sounds familiar, because she saw one of her students giving another student a Crumbl cookie but it fell on the ground. When she asked her students about it, 11 out of 25 said they heard about Crumbl, and 6 of them said they have had it before.
Riyana Padillo is a sophomore at Mark Keppel. When asked about her opinion of Crumbl, she said she has tried Crumbl before. She also stated, “My favorite cookie is the Pink Velvet.” She also stated that she gets Crumbl about once or twice a month because she enjoys how the cookies are big enough to share with her family. She also likes the many different flavors they serve. She also said that she dislikes their cakes. “It’s Crumbl Cookie; why are they serving cakes?”
Crumbl Cookie has gained popularity due to its rotating flavors and social media appeal, but opinions are mixed. While some may say it is too sweet, others seem to really enjoy it. How do you feel about it?
