On Friday, October 4th, the Aztecs fought long and hard against the Montebello Oilers, but ultimately did not come out on top. The game was rich in spirit, with both teams playing to their max. Even in a moment of defeat, the atmosphere was filled with honor and pride, mainly during halftime where active and retired military service members were recognized. This was an honorable moment as these members walked out onto the field. Much of the audience felt a heartwarming sense of pride looking out at those who made sacrifices for our country, so that we could enjoy liberty. While the Aztecs did not win this game, it was a very touching moment in pointing out unity, and respect both at school and within the community, for those who have served our nation.
