Tuesday, Aug. 12 marked the first day of school for Aztecs at Mark Keppel High School. The Associated Student Body and staff planned special activities for seniors to celebrate their first day back at school for their final year. Seniors gathered at the lower Aztec field at 6:30 a.m. to watch the sun rise and were then guided through a day filled with educational workshops.

Soluna Aldana, Editor-in-Chief/ Arts & Entertainment Editor
Soluna is a senior at Mark Keppel, a 4 year varsity soccer player and team captain, and the president of Snug n’ Stitch. She enjoys listening to Rogér Fakhr, Jeff Buckley, and Elliott Smith in her free time. She also enjoys crocheting bouquets and knitting beanies for her small business. She would not be able to function properly without iced vanilla lattes or iced green tea. Soluna also likes to explore and take pictures of nature. Her favorite holiday is Halloween and she loves to read classical literature, watch horror movies, and play Roblox.

Savannah is a senior at Mark Keppel High School and currently in her second year of journalism. This year, she’s thrilled to take on the role of editor! In addition to journalism, she’s an member of the Mark Keppel Drill Team and participates in several clubs, including PLUS and Statice Health. Outside of school, Savannah loves listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her friends. She’s loves to meet new people so don’t be shy, say hi!
