On Saturday, Aug. 23, Sasha Renée Pérez was sworn in as the youngest State Senator in California. Pérez was elected to represent California’s 25th Senate District, which covers areas like Pasadena, Alhambra, Arcadia, Glendale, Monrovia and more. This ceremony took place at the Pasadena City College in the Sexon Auditorium. During the Eaton Fire, Senator Pérez immediately took action and worked on relief efforts to help. This ceremony highlighted her hard work and Congresswoman Judy Chu administered the oath. The Senate leadership, PCC officials, and the public were able to RSVP for free attendance.
