On Saturday, Jan. 31st, the MKHS Dream Center collaborated with the Asian Youth Center and held The Parent Academy at Mark Keppel High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this event, students and parents went to different workshops and learned about different topics, such as knowing your rights, community organization, mutual aid, emergency preparedness, and more. Since Monterey Park is an immigrant-friendly community, there were many translators and interpreters at the workshops so that everyone could participate.
