As the semester progresses, the looming threat of college application deadlines has become a larger topic of conversation for Keppel’s class of 2024. Seniors Nikki Wu and Noah Naishtut have both been put through the grueling application process and have opened up about their experience.

In deciding on the colleges they chose to apply for, Wu was especially excited for the UC system, which has become increasingly popular. Meanwhile, Naishtut focused mostly on location over major when deciding on his top colleges.

Speaking on the application process,Wu said, “It’s unnecessarily long.”

Naishtut, on a similar line of thought as Wu, said, “It had stuff that doesn’t feel like common knowledge and it was a little bit unnecessarily long, especially since a lot of that stuff doesn’t really want to be looked at.”

Clearly, college applications are a tall beast, so to help Keppel’s juniors, who will face the process next year, Wu gave them a piece of  advice, stating, “Don’t be afraid to try for schools cause you’ll regret it if you don’t.” Naishtut advised to “get started early and work it a little at a time not all at once.” Good luck to our graduating class of 2024 as you continue on a new path!
