The Netflix show, “Alice in Borderland,” released season three to Netflix at the end of September of this year. Main characters Arisu and Usagi find themselves being pulled back to the world of the Borderlands despite audience speculation that season two was the finale. Season three only has six episodes in contrast to their usual eight- despite this drawback, season three still upholds their elaborate and captivating sets, games that keep viewers at the edge of their seat, and loveable characters.
Even with such strongly liked characters and immersive sets, the storyline seems to falter in comparison to season one and two. Due to variable pacing, conflicting character development, and the questionable reasoning that brought them back to the Borderlands, fans seem to take a more critical tone when describing season three.
Overall, season three of Alice in Borderlands does not live up to the hype that one may hope for, sometimes lacking certain qualities that made season one and two so brilliant. However, do not let this review deter you from watching it, viewers can still love and be surprised by this season. If you are a viewer who is willing to overlook some discrepancies in the plot, some scenarios that may seem illogical, season two of Alice In Borderlands is still amusing and thrilling. On the other hand, if you are still loyal to the quality that season one and two had, season three might be a watch you should pass up on.
