On Monday, Nov. 17, Rosemead boys’ soccer hosted Gabrielino High School in their first home match of the season, with varsity winning 5–1 and junior varsity earning a 4–1 victory despite heavy rain. Before the game, JV coach Mr. Heredia said the team entered the season “full of excitement” and driven to establish “a winning tradition and a winning mindset,” adding that he hopes this squad will be “the class to break through.” He said he measures success by performance rather than the final score and noted that while the players are athletically and technically prepared, a few still face mental challenges as the season begins.
