On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Mark Keppel’s Slam Poetry Club hosted its first open mic of the year, welcoming students into Ms. Burkhart’s classroom to watch these amazing poets. The event featured a supportive, high-energy atmosphere where anyone was invited to step up to the mic or simply enjoy the performances from fellow students. The Slam Poetry Club plans to continue hosting open mics throughout the year. Students interested in performing or attending can visit Ms. Burkhart’s classroom for information on upcoming dates.
