The Seattle Seahawks took home the trophy after they defeated the New England Patriots winning 29-13. This is the second time in history that the team has won. The Superbowl LX was held at Levi’s stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game itself was mostly defensive, with Seattle’s defense countering the efforts made by the Patriot’s offense, allowing their own team to advance point wise, and denying the patriots any chance to progress. Kenneth Walker, the runner back, earned the title of MVP.
This win also allowed Sam Arnold, who is playing for his 5th NFL team, to become the first quarterback to win a Superbowl in at least 5 different teams. The Patriots Quarterback, Drake Maye, was unable to best the defense team despite his efforts. In the end, they made a small comeback; however, it was not enough to win against the early advantage of the Seahawks.
“I actually ended up enjoying the Super Bowl way more than I expected,” Matthew Estrada, a senior at Keppel, shared. “I’m a huge fan of The Seahawks, and I was super confident that they were gonna win so I wasn’t surprised when they ended up beating the Patriots”
The performance by Bad Bunny was reported as the most watched half-time performance in history. He performed songs like “MONACO” and “UN PREVIEW.”
Keppel senior, Lupita Gonzalez, shared, “The Super Bowl was such a great game. I was rooting for the Seahawks, so seeing them beat the Patriots made it even better. I really liked Bad Bunny’s half time show, I think his music is really good.”
Others expressed differing opinions.
Ever Umana, a senior at Keppel, said, “I thought the Super Bowl was really boring, especially since I was basically forced to watch it with my family. Honestly, Bad Bunny’s performance was way better than the game. He was the only reason I even bothered watching.”
